Martin takes Phoenix pole

NASCAR veteran Mark Martin claimed pole position for Sunday's Sprint Cup Series race at Phoenix. The Michael Waltrip Racing driver, who is running a partial schedule this season, set the pace in qualifying with a lap of 26.313 seconds at an average speed of 136.815 mph
