McLaren expects to be faster at Sepang

McLaren has warned its rivals that it could be even stronger in the Malaysian Grand Prix because its car excels on the type of high speed corners that are a feature of Sepang. Although Jenson Button was in a class of his own in Melbourne, his team boss Martin Whitmarsh suggests that the Albert Park circuit did not actually play to the strengths of the new McLaren. "If you looked closely at ourselves in testing at Barcelona, we were pretty good in the high speed corners," Whitmarsh explained.

The thin air and crazy elevation changes at Colorado’s High Plains Raceway‘s road course make for some great racing action at the annual B.F.E. GP 24 Hours of LeMons. Loeb against endurance rallies

Sebastien Loeb has admitted the shift towards longer events in the World Rally Championship could hasten his decision to retire from the sport. The eight-time world champion has a contract with Citroen until the end of next season, but the Frenchman has a clause in the deal which would allow him to walk away at the end of 2012. FIA president Jean Todt and WRC manager Michele Mouton have pushed on in recent weeks with their vision to take the sport back to its endurance roots

Ford has priced the heavily updated 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500, starting from $54,995 for the coupe and $59,995 for the convertible. The American took his maiden MotoGP race win at Assen in his first season on the factory Yamaha, but ended the campaign 84 points behind team-mate Jorge Lorenzo as he took fifth in the standings.

2013 Nissan Altima profile teaser

The slow drip of official information for Nissan's 2013 Altima continues to spread across the internet. Today, the Japanese automaker has unveiled a (very) short video clip and a shady single image that hints at the expressive profile sheetmetal on its new family sedan. The video is very brief, but together with the other images we've seen depicting the new boomerang-shaped taillamps, headlamps and overhead view, we're starting to mentally stitch together a composite view of the new car.

We couldn't resist helping Nissan accelerate its reveal process by tinkering with Photoshop's brightness and contrast controls a bit. You can see the result in our gallery which reveals a nicely rounded three-window greenhouse and a set of split five-spoke alloys. In addition, check out the short video after the jump while you're waiting for live shots and impressions to drop from New York.

Brawn: Technical structure paying off

Mercedes team principal Ross Brawn believes his team's approach of having multiple technical directors is already paying off - and thinks the benefits will only increase in the future. Although some rival outfits have poured scorn on the Mercedes approach ? with the team having Bob Bell, Aldo Costa, Geoff Willis and Brawn all pushing on the technical side ? the man in charge is delighted with the way things are panning out. "They are getting on very well, gloriously well," explained Brawn
