Webber says inters stint cost him

Mark Webber admitted that he took too long to get up to speed on intermediate tyres after only finishing fourth in the Malaysian Grand Prix. Red Bull was unable to fight for victory at Sepang, with Webber only moving up to fourth when his team-mate Sebastian Vettel relinquished the position late on having sustained a puncture in contact with Narain Karthikeyan's HRT.

Valsecchi takes blame for ?lost? win

Davide Valsecchi claims that he did not deserve to win the opening GP2 race of the season after making a bad start from pole position. The DAMS driver recovered from a sluggish getaway to take second place behind race winner Luiz Razia, who charged away at the front unchallenged after capitalising on Valsecchi's error. "The team and my car deserved the win so it's a shame that I lost it," said Valsecchi.

This is hardly surprising news; both timetables follow the company’s usual five-year product cycle. Hyundai representatives wouldn?t comment [...]

Arena Fords to keep 30kg ballast

Arena Motorsport's World Touring Car Fords will continue to carry 30kg of ballast at the forthcoming round at Valencia. The imposition of the weight follows a difference of interpretation on technical aspects of the team's all-new Ford Focus S2000 TCs in round one of the championship at Monza earlier this month.

Pagenaud tops times in final practice

Simon Pagenaud has set the quickest time in today's third IndyCar free practice session at St Petersburg. Penske duo Will Power and Ryan Briscoe had looked safe at the top of the timing screens with the only sub-1m02s laps in the field until Pagenaud, who was issued a 10-place grid penalty last night for an unauthorised engine change, produced a 1m01.8929s effort with just five minutes left on the clock

New DOT mobile app tells you how safe your bus is

If you're an Autoblog reader, we suspect you probably prefer not to leave the driving to others - regardless of who they are. But even car nuts like us have occasion to take the bus every so often. The dog can be a cost-efficient way to go pick up a car you've spontaneously bought on eBay when no buddies can be rounded up for a road trip, for instance.

Of course, in this age of paranoia, you might wonder if your bus is held together with bailing wire and duct tape, or whether your driver habitually shows up for work three sheets to the wind, which brings us to The SaferBus app.

A free iOS app, courtesy of the United States Department of Transportation, SaferBus allows mobile access to the US DOT's database for motor coach safety violations, including five categories of records, according to The Consumerist. The app gets monthly database updates and the information dates back a full two years, plus you can use the app report a safety complaint yourself.
